Ilaria is a Cognitive Neuroscientist and a Graduate Member of the British Psychological Society. She recently completed her Master of Science in Cognitive and Clinical Neuroscience from Goldsmiths University of London, after obtaining her BSc in Psychology and Mental Health at the University of Rome La Sapienza.
Ilaria conducted a series of research projects at the psychology laboratory of Goldsmiths University. Her main focus was on investigating electrical brain activity underlying cognitive performance in ageing by means of neuroimaging (EEG) and brain stimulation techniques (tACS, tDCS).
Whilst involved in academic research she also gained direct experience of volunteering and working in mental health settings across both the community environment as well as in the private sector. Ilaria worked as part of a multidisciplinary team delivering neuro-rehabilitation and psychological support to a wide range of different clinical populations including brain injury, dementia and neurological conditions.
